We suggest you to see various itineraries on our website and email us to book any one or multiple of them. We’ll provide all information immediately to you.

You can just email us your ideas and specify the places you want to visit, date of arrival and departure, number of people who are traveling, the hotel category you need and any other special requirements. After having these details from your end we will plan a tour for you and will mail you soon with all the details.

3.How should I prepare myself for India as its my first visit ?
For the general information please visit our website and explore various information of different parts of India. You can also email us your questions and queries so that one of our representative can personally email you all the related answers. We also suggest you to do some background reading before visiting India, so that your have basic knowledge of various places. We also provide a tourist Guide in the language of your choice who will accompany you during your tour to India and take care of every thing related to your tour.

4. How advance should I make my travel booking ?
The Indian tourists season October- March (high tourist season) and May – June. As Travel infrastructure in India has its limitation in comparison to the high season demand therefore we highly recommend that if you want to spend your holidays in India you must book your tour much in advance.

5. How to experience & explore India at it’s best ?
You must email us your basic ideas for visiting India, like if you want to explore culture of India, festivals of India, forts of Rajasthan etc. Accordingly we’ll plan you a tour and will send you a email soon.

6. Do you book the Air Tickets also ?
Yes, we do book them on demand.

7. Is there a pick up service on Airport ?
Yes, we provide pick up services. You will be picked up from the airport or railway station where ever you arrive by the Demotravels's representative. Our representative will be holding a name board with your name or your group name at the reception hall of the airport or railway station.

8. Can I book the hotels only with you instead of complete tour ?
Yes, Demotravels provides special tariffs for Hotels in India. As far as hotels are concerned we have hotels of every standard in India. We can also make arrangements for big conferences, incentive spa and Ayurveda Packages.

9. Which Vaccination is compulsory before coming to India ?
The Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required to be brought into India, if a tourist originates from or transiting through Yellow Fever endemic countries. This is conforming to the International Health Regulation. Yet, Citizens and travelers coming from the United States (US), Canada, or the United Kingdom(UK), do not require any vaccination certificate or inoculations.
Recommendation
It is highly recommended to get a precautionary measure vaccination against Hepatitis B, should you plan to stay longer in India. To avoid Malaria, Dengue, carry mosquito repellents, nets or take a course of anti Malaria tablets.

10. How do I get medication in India in case of necessity?
We advise you to bring your own medicines. All though most of the medicines are available in India but they have different brand names. We can assist you in finding a Medical Specialist. Private hospitals with high standard and qualified doctors are available in India.

11. Do Indian people understand English and other foreign languages ?
Yes, English is widely spoken and understood at almost all tourist centers. Language speaking guides are also available but we highly recommend you to take qualified and government recognized guides only. We do provide qualified and government recognized guides in India who also speak German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Italian or Russian. They will help you not only in your sightseeing, but also help you exploring India better and will give you useful tips while your journey in India.

12. What is advisable to eat and drink in India while my tour ?
It is advised to drink bottled water, bottled drinks. Coffee & Tea must be taken hot. As hotels have their own water filter functions, the water in the hotels can be used for cleaning the tooth and body but avoid drinking this water. Avoid eating spicy at least at the start of your journey. After taking the above precautions you will realize that India has a wonderful cuisine and rarely any other place meet the varieties of the vegetable as in India. Our guide will keep you informing about all precautions.

13. Is there any code of conduct while visiting temples and mosques in India ?
Please do remember to remove your shoes and sandals while visiting a place of worship or mausoleum. Also some temples do not allow leather articles in their premises.

14. Are there any restrictions for the Photography or Video shooting in India ?
Photography restrictions are at few places which will be prior informed by our guide. In some of the monuments one has to pay fee for the photography.

15. Should I give some money to the beggars If I find them on the streets of India ?
we strongly advise you to not to pay any attention towards beggars.

16. How safe is India for me ?
India is comparatively a safe country to travel. Crime rate against foreigners is low. However we recommend females not be alone on the road after late evening just to be on the safer side. In case help is needed you can call the police at 100 and Ambulance at 102.

17. What about Shopping in India ?
Tourists say, India is a shoppers’ paradise. Shopping is recommended from Government Emporiums. Most of the large stores will ship your purchases for you, though, for convenience and to avoid postal delays, it is advisable to carry your shopping with you or to book it as baggage.

18. How much should I give as tips while traveling in India ?
Tips are expected by most of the people involved in the tourism in India.
There is no “must” or “compulsion” of tipping in India.In big hotels services charges are included in the bills so tipping is not necessary .
Still, the advisory tips are :
10% of the amount of the billing is normal as tipping.
If traveling with a group the tipping can be reduced to 5% of the total bill.
For the porters in the hotels Rs.20 for a single baggage and in the case of a group Rs.10 per baggage is
customary.
For tour guides and escorts we recommend 1 to 2 USD per day per person - same is also for the driver accompanying you during your India tour. Do measure the quality of services of particular person and tip him accordingly.

19. Which currency is used in India ?
The units of Indian currency are the Rupee and Paisa (100 Paisa equal 1 Rupee). Paper money is in denominations of Rupees 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000. Coins are in denominations of Rupees 1, 2 and 5. There are no restrictions on the amount of foreign currency or travelers’ checks that can be brought by a tourist to India. However a Declaration form is filled (only for the amount which is more than USD 10,000) on the arrival at the Indian airport. By filling up this form you can also get your money exchanged back in the original currency without any problem. Any kind of money exchange should be done only through authorized money- changers. You may ask our guides and they will tell you the right center or place to get the money exchanged. Please note that no Indian currency can be imported or exported, except for Rupee travelers checks. There are 24- hour exchange facilities available at Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta and Chennai international airports.

20. Can I pay in Euro, USD or through my credit cards in India ?
All the major currencies including Euro and USD are accepted in India. Also all the major credit cares (Visa, Masters and American Express) are accepted in the Indian subcontinent.

22. Are there any restrictions on exporting from India ?
The Government has put restrictions on the export of all wild animals indigenous to the country and articles made from such listed animals like skins, pelts, furs, ivory, rhino horns, trophies, etc. have been totally banned. These include all forms of wild animals including their parts and products, except peacock feathers and handicrafts made from them and those made from articles and shavings of Antler, Cheetals and Sambars which are subject to conditions specified. Export of exotic birds is also not allowed. This ban also includes wood sand wood products including logs, timber, stumps, roots bark, chip, powder, flakes dust, pulp and charcoal. However, sawn timber made exclusively out of imported logs teak/ timber are exempted subject to conditions. Also, export of sandalwood in any form, excluding finished handicrafts and machine-finished products is prohibited. Export of furs of domestic animals, hides and skins is prohibited excluding the Lamb fur.

23. Is there any restrictions on the export of the Antiques items from India ?
Antiquities which include sculpture, painting or other works of arts or crafts, illustrative of science, art, craft, religion of bygone ages and of historical interest which are older than hundred years may not be exported from India. Manuscripts or other documents of scientific, historical, literary or aesthetic older than seventy five years also can not be exported out of India.

Regarding the national parks and sanctuaries, Bharatpur and Sariska Sanctuary is open throughout the year. All other sanctuaries in India are open between October and March.

27. Do the Costa Rica citizens need to have the visa to enter India, Nepal and China?
Yes the Costa Rica citizens need the Visa for India and Nepal. For India please consult the concerned embassies in your area.
